YSL All Hours Foundation Stick
Recently fallen in love with this quick and easy, on-the-go foundation by YSL which goes on creamy and settles to powder form. It leaves off a matte finish while providing great coverage. Great for touch ups on the go as well.
Red Earth Beauty
A new makeup and skincare brand I've had the pleasure of working with - based in Australia, Red Earth sources exotic ingredients such as Tasmanian sea kelp or kakadu plums from the northern territory of Australia to give that natural, youthful glow. My current faves - the Gimme the Light Light Boosting Base and the Brighten Concentrate Oil with Kakadu Plum. Not to mention they have lipstick matches! in the cutest packaging (see above)
Burberry Trench and Boyfriend Jeans
Still feeling blessed that I no longer have to trek through horrendous snowstorms on the East Coast. Here in SoCal, when it does get a bit chilly in the winter, I tend to find that a trench coat like this one does the job. Paired with some Levi's that I personally transformed into distressed denim and some Prada shades.
Soufeel Personalized Necklace 'Faith'
Rather than opting for my name, I chose to engrave 'Faith' onto this lovely rose gold-plated necklace by Soufeel Jewelry. Faith in myself and my dreams is something I've internalized this past year, and 2019 will be all about embracing that knowledge. New feels, new goals. May your new year be rich in purpose as you leave all your fears and insecurities behind you.

Happy Halloween loves! Sharing a few takes from my recent shoot in SF wearing the most comfortable pants and a gold slip dress from Rumble Apparel
Shop their pieces here
So honored to work with brands like Rumble that value diversity and representation - they regularly collaborate with various models, regardless of race, size, or orientation.
More updates coming next week featuring beautiful backdrops of SF! Till then, enjoy autumn while you can, will be heading to LA v soon to chase summer weather.
Anyone else finding it hard to believe that it's already almost May? So much has happened in the first four months of 2018, mainly good and some bad, but honestly still working hard on those new year resolutions 😂
Did want to dedicate this post to sharing a few of my favorite items and products this month that have really been helping me out both in terms of coping with the significantly drier climate here in SoCal but also in terms of improving my overall health and well-being.
Deux Mains Anne Fringe Sandals
It's honestly a miracle that my skin hasn't tanned yet even though daily weather here calls for tanks, sheer pieces, and sandals all day - tho semi-permanent sunburns are an entirely different story 🙈
Tbh, not a huge fan of scorching weather all year round but what I do love about it is that it gives me a chance to choose comfort over all else when it comes to fashion - and that's why I'm sharing one of my favorite pairs of shoes - from an ethical and sustainable brand called Deux Mains
These particular Anne sandals are hand-crafted in Haiti by empowered women using materials that are ethically manufactured and locally sourced. I am absolutely in love with them because they provide the perfect slip with a bit of edge - and they are legit the MOST comfortable sandals in history [of my lifetime]

Yaupon Brothers Seminole Chai Tea
If you don't know already, I am an avid tea addict - no to coffee (not necessarily because of the taste but generally always have a bad reaction to it) and that's why I'm always on the lookout for nice and exotic teas to add to my favorites collection.
Matcha, rooibos, sakura/raspberry are a few of my top blends, but this chai tea has recently been added to my list - Yaupon Brothers tea is grown in the ancient maritime forests of Florida, and the Florida twist they've added to a classic chai recipe is very subtle yet very satisfying.
Ingredients: Yaupon Holly, Whole Cardamom Pod, Kortinje Cinnamon, Ginger Root, Organic Orange Peel
Orange Peel in incorporated to replace the peppercorn in the traditional chai recipe and the result is slightly spicy yet very smooth
Covergirl So Lashy! Mascara
Okay, now my very first drugstore mascara but definitely satisfied with the results! The brush is very unique in that it has a ball at the tip to elongate hard to reach areas of the eyelashes. Definitely a topshelfie or one to pop in your purse for quick and easy touchups on that lash game
Real Techniques Miracle Sculpting Sponge
Also a nice necessity for this month as I like to turn towards even less makeup since moving to Cali so that I don't feel so heavy on my face from the sun and heat. What I love about this sponge is that offers easy contouring and blending for not only liquid and cream foundations but also powders - such as my fave highlighting duo from Too Faced.
Yasou Hydrating Body Cream
And finally, a huge recommendation to those out there who suffer from mild to severe sensitive and dry skin like myself. Yasou, meaning 'to your health', is a Greek-inspired skincare brand that incorporates certified organic oils, such as olive oil, jojoba oil, mandarin essential oil, and more to promote skin regeneration and radiance but also induce stress-relieving and calming properties. Other ingredients include organic aloe vera, calendula extract and honey extract. and btw, it's 99.5% natural

Many more exciting news to share with you all v soon :)
While I can definitely survive with one phone, I can't say the same about smartwatches, and that's why I'm excited to share details on my latest partnership with Misfit Wearables.
Since moving to the West Coast, I've been revamping my workout routine with the new and vast amounts of outdoor space that I can use to my advantage. Hiking, cycling, jogging, swimming, rock-climbing, there's really no end to what I've been doing over the past few months here, but that's all about to change with this new Misfit Vapor Smartwatch I received, as shown above.
Misfit Vapor tracks steps, calories, distance, and heart rate and also has a standalone music player and storage that connects directly with wireless headphones. It's swim proof and water resistant up to 50m - meaning I can wear it on me pretty much anywhere.
And of course, like most other smartwatches, it sends you notifications for all emails, texts, calls and app updates. Compatible with iPhone and Android phones.
There are interchangeable straps and customizable watch faces available for this - but as you all know, I'm a minimal addict - which means black straps and a sleek black watch face would be the way to go for me.
And not to mention, all of the other features available on this smartwatch, including weather updates, Google Maps, calendar, and my personal favorite - Google translate - meaning I can speak into my watch whenever I need some word or phrase translated and voila.

V excited to share details on my latest collab - with CaseApp, a Sweden-based brand that specializes in making personalized phone cases and skins for your phone, iPad, MacBooks, etc.
As for me, my obsession with marble and minimalism is still going strong, so I opted for the two designs above and added a custom personalization text to my phone case.
SHOP HERE: CASEAPP.COM
As for my new Macbook skin, I was originally planning to select an all-over white marble skin but I felt that this design above with the asymmetry and gold touch gives off such an elegant vibe. Been carrying this around to a few business meetings the past few weeks and have received several inquiries / compliments.
Finally, a new case to add to my (growing) collection of monochrome decor (and this wall decal I picked up, just because I'm missing home so much rn ㅠ)
In honor of this recent collaboration, I am offering you all a 20% discount to save at Caseapp.com
USE CODE "BYSHINYY20" AT CHECKOUT
This deal ends 4/15/18
What's great about this brand is that they have hundreds of pre-made designs but you can also customize your own with your own images, text, and layout.
So be sure to check out CaseApp and shop using the code "BYSHINYY20" to save 20% on your online purchase!
Happy shopping loves 💋 One should never settle for only one accessory case.
Been MIA lately, too busy vacationing in Cali 🙈
Finally breaking my blog burnout with a throwback from my last shoot in New York. Currently about 3 weeks behind schedule, but that's 👌
be on the lookout for back to back posts within the next few weeks (hopefully)

Honestly missing the grungy neighborhoods back home. The views here in Cali are amazing but still accustoming, it's gonna take some time to get used to all this color (not complaining)
Still not too late to bring skater dresses back in season
Paired this with stack rings oc and my new fave watch gifted by Lilienthal Berlin (@lilienthalberlin)

Less than four months till 2017 leaves us hanging with regrets for the things we didn't do, should've done this year.

Moody portrait shoots on the Highline. Haven't been here in ages but it was nice to actually get moving and shoot a few up close and personal shots as the sun set. I didn't need much color on my outfit so toned it down with a simple halter crop top and jeans and my sneakers by Greats.
btw the sunset was amazing and we captured all the right tones of soft pink and coral. Wouldn't mind coming back here just for another look at those colors 😍

Continuing on with part 2 of my favorite spring looks, I'll start off with a lovely look I wore during a photoshoot with one of my good Japanese friends. We shot in Soho and found a few floral spots to fit with my maxi form fitting coral dress and Kate Spade sunnies.
One piece that I cannot get enough of lately is off-shoulder tops. Bought way more than I need and it's currently flooding here in the city 😭😭😭. Off shoulder tops, especially oversized ones 💖, pair well with some distressed denim and heels like these from Valentino
Last spring, I also got a chance to explore LIC more than I've ever done, and paired a denim jacket with some reflective sunnies and a gray maxi form fitting dress.
Another one of my fave shoots to date was with the talented Jaime, who simply slays when it comes to tones in his photos (his IG handle: theamazingknight). We shot these from a rooftop in Chinatown. Yes, this is New York.
Welcome to Es Palette
Thank you to all of my followers and readers for your patience; I've been getting confused emails about where my site has gone but I've spent the past few weeks preparing for an all-around revamp of my blog. Previously known as Refinedaze, my blog has now switched platforms and although we're already approaching mid-year soon, I'm starting off anew with Es Palette, which will extend beyond fashion and street style into more lifestyle and travel related adventures as well. School and work have been absolutely insane and I rarely have time for myself lately but I'm taking time this week to launch the new site before I upload more of my recent projects, which I'm already way behind in posting 😭😂😣.
That aside, I'll be starting off posting some of my favorite spring looks from when I first started blogging almost a year ago, as it might (hopefully) get warmer here in the city soon. The first look shown above is suitable for work as I often pair a blazer with a midi dress.
The second is from probably one of my favorite photoshoots to date with talented photographer Mark Kim. We shoot downtown in Greenwich Village where you'll find a perfect wall for minimal, clean shots. I paired a leather jacket with a black crop top with a striped pencil skirt and my fave strap heels. You'll find me decked in noir et blanc at least 5 days out of the week 💭
